10 French Vegan Champagnes

November 27, 2016

Who knew that their bubbly could contain animal products. This surprising fact happens in the filtration (fining) process. Where wine or champagne meets "animal" or in the best case scenario mineral. The old world way of filtering wines is using fish bladder (gag here), egg or milk. Thankfully the new world process uses minerals in filtration.

Whether you’re vegan or not you may not desire your bubbles to be filtered through the bladder of a fish. So here are 10 lovely French champagnes that are clean and vegan.

Veuve Clicquot Champagne

Moet Champagne

Champagne Piper Heisieck

Champagne Cattier

Champagne Jacquart

Champagne Fleury

Champagne J. de Telmont

Champagne Palmer & Co.

Champagne Lanson

Champagne Thienot
